Blessed are the Meek S.S 2013

Renowned for their sea-shell printed dresses and white oversized tee's in flowing rayons; This years Bless'd are the Meek Spring Summer show "Wanderlust" took a turn,  presenting the new symbols of Australian chic in a collection designed to reflect Australias rural landscape. Indigenous model, Samantha Harris was first down the runway followed by others in trademark minimalistic, modern and flirty pieces by designer Maria Maung. The Northern Territory desert was mapped on the walls of the MBFWA runway in 3D projections. Christine Centenera perched front row among others who were captivated by the scene. Therapy looks forward to a new delivery of Bless'd are the Meek winter stock arriving this week!

TALULAH S.S. 2013 MBFWA

Models strutted down the runway to Flume in digital prints, monochromatic midi-length dresses and Talulah's trademark feminine silhouettes. It was one of the most popular shows and I felt lucky to have a chair amongst the photographers and various other guests standing! Kelly Wharton also premiered her first swimwear range for Talulah, which is just what we want here on the Coast. What are your fave picks? Let us know what you want in-store for Summer now! I have my eye on that embellished canvas clutch....

INSTADIARY MBFWA DAYS 1-2

There is only one way to be late and that is fashionably.

I was starstruck meeting one of our favourites, the gorgeous Sydney Fashion Blogger! She wears Talulah, 8 Other Reasons jewellery and Nookie pieces that are all stocked by Therapy.

At Whitesands swimwear runway show- this collection was all about high-waisted and 50's inspired bikini styles in coral and florals. Ruffle details and rose-gold accessories turned up the glam factor.

Gypsea, Below the Surface and Staghorn and Skye featured in the group swim show Monday Night. This bikini is a favourite- very Sass and Bide looking.

The show came to a close with a cats meow and the model waving her hands about as claws.

Bordeaux lips where a dominant trend at all shows.

A ruffled back one piece that will also work well as a this summer!

Peplum bikinis and neon accents- we love!

The complete catwalk schedule at the Carraigeworks
Peplum tops and cocktails work well together, don't you think? So make a toast to Australian designers for reinventing this popular coastal trend for the upcoming summer! From candy coloured peplum dresses embellished with feathery fairy-floss flares at Romance Was Born to geometric detachable peplum at Ginger and Smart, the style is here to stay. Upcoming Australian swimwear designer Skye and Staghorn also created peplum in the form of feminine bikini tops made from athletic wet-suit fabric with neon accents. BIKINI LOVERS- this means that we can look forward to some extra warmth in the waves! The designer is a favourite of Sydney Fashion Blogger who loves the 'use of wetsuit fabric.'

Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Australia

Pre Fashion Week

From the moment I saw protestors throw red paint on Samanthas fur jacket at New York Fashion Week with her declaritive response of "I love New York," and Carrie effortlessly hailing a cab with a kick of a Jimmy Choo; I've dreamed of experiencing a taste of the life of women in Sex and the City. I arrived in Sydney last Sunday with 22 pairs of shoes in one bag and 27 kilos of outfit options, style bibles and beautifying products in the other three.

Lesson one: Men are not attracted to females with baggage. The good looking ones never come along in moments such as small town gal enters big city and needs help carrying things- no matter how much you act like Carrie Bradshaw.

Lesson two: Hailing a taxi is not as easy as it looks in the movies. Do not stand in the middle of the road or obstruct traffic to hail one because this only aggravates taxi drivers.
Mental note: Next time pack red paint.

I arrived at my hotel, curtesy of google maps and muscles gained at Ezyfit Kawanna after a total of 5 minutes walking. Beauty sleep was a must but impossible to achieve in excitement for the following day. I found an amazing cocktail and wine bar on the Darling Harbour that creates cocktails with hundreds and thousands around the rim. Nobody looked at me weirdly for wearing fabulous shoes to a restaraunt/wine bar in Sydney, and it was the perfect end to a stressful yet excitement filled day.

Stay tuned for the rest of our journey at MBFWA from blogger-spotting to Talulah's latest collection....
